uTorrent is a freeware, ad-supported, proprietary client. author of this client is uTorrent. It is the most widely used client outside china, globally only behid Xunlei. The "u" in its name comes from the SI prefix referring to the program's small memory footprint the program's was designed to use minimal computer resource a while offering functionally comparable to larger torrent clients such as Vuze or BitComet .
